Description/Interesting Notes: A very rich, old time example of native gold from Colorado!!! This specimen hosts a very rich showing of brilliantly metallic, buttery-yellow native gold present as complex crystals and crystalline sheets overtaking the matrix!!! This specimen is very rich and dense, and its gold value alone likely reaches into the four figures!!! Upon close inspection one can see that the native gold is quite well crytsallized, with even the sheets of gold having complex crystalline faces!!! In some of the vugs one can see small wires of native gold as well!!! There is an unidentified species in association, present as darkly colored crystals in close association with the native gold, that is quite exciting as well (petzite?)!!! This valuable Colorado beauty retains an old label from a noted institution as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Old material!!!
