Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic example of native gold from Arizona!!! This specimen consists of a characteristic, hematitic matrix
that hosts areas native gold scattered across its broad face!!! There is more native gold present
than it appears in the pics!!! As is characteristic of this locale, the native gold is present as fine, sheet-like
masses integrated with the hematitic matrix!! Old material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be
seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired
the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to
come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was originally from the
collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
