Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of native gold from Bisbee!!! Examples of native gold from Bisbee are very rare and highly sought
after!!! For the locality, this is an exceptional example of native gold indeed!!! This
specimen consists of a pyrite-bornite matrix with numerous complex crystals of pyrite altering to bornite that host a significant
showing of bright yellow native gold scattered throughout!!! The native gold is present as dense, rigid, spongiform masses that are both
prominently exposed as well as integrated within the matrix!!! There is a significant, showy area of bright native gold prominently perched on the
matrix in addition to several smaller masses nearby!!! Upon close inspection
there are numerous other smaller areas of native gold scattered throughout the matrix as well!!! There is much more native gold present than
what the pictures show!!! This is a rich and significant example of native gold from Bisbee!!! This is OLD material!!! Many of the
pyrite crystals are being altered to bornite and are quite intriuging in and of themselves!!! This is characteristic ore from the Dallas shaft!!! Don't
miss out on this rare and significant old timer!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 7th!!!
