Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare example of native gold on bornite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a complex crystal of bornite that hosts
a significant, prominent area of crystalline native gold!!! The bornite crystal exhibits numerous complex, partially striated
faces throughout!!! Upon close inspection, the native gold exhibits numerous crystalline features and is intimately integrated with the crystalline
bornite matrix!!! There is also a small partial quartz crystal present with the native gold and there are a few tiny pyrite crystals scattered about the bornite as well!!!
In person this specimen is absolutely striking!!! This is a KILLER Butte combo indeed!!! This is a true Butte Holy-Grail
specimen!!! Specimens like this come around once in a lifetime!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.E. Seaman Museum with
W.C. Williamson collection notation!!!
The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 23rd!!!
