An absolutely incredible example of native gold from ECUADOR!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of native gold richly
distributed throughout an unusual matrix of garnet skarn!!! The native gold is present as rich masses of dense, hackly crystals
protruding from the matrix as well as finely disseminated networks scattered throughout the matrix!!!
There is much more native gold present than the pics show!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope one can
see areas of native gold scattered all over!!! One can also see several small vugs that host
small garnet crystals as well!!! This specimen probably contains an ounce of gold or more!!! Examples of
native gold from Ecuador are extremely rare - and the matrix is quite unusual as well!!!
