Native Gold in Petrified Wood! Nevada 1.7cm x 1.1cm x 1.07cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An INCREDIBLE and very unusual example of native gold in petrified wood from Nevada!!! This specimen consists of a jet-black piece of petrified wood that hosts a very rich showing of native gold!!! When I first saw this specimen I was in disbelief, however it is real and completely natural!!! The native gold is gold and is present throughout the entire specimen as brilliant, golden metallic strips running parallel to the grain of the wood!!! This is not pre-fossillized wood or mine-timber it is hard, rigid material!!! It is not silicified and makes a black streak, however it is very stable, hard, and rigid!!! The gold is visible all around and, upon close inspection one can see that these stringers of native gold are present throughout the entire specimen!!! This is truly incredible material and I doubt I will ever see another one like it!!! This is OLD material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
