Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of native gold from this classic locale!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a prominent mass of crystalline arsenopyrite richly associated with brilliant, buttery yellow native gold!!! The native gold surrounds the silvery arsenopyrite and there is also a significant amount of native gold included within the arsenopyrite and scattered grains in the quartz matrix!!! Upon close inspection, one can see some crystalline forms in the native gold present on the outer surface and perimeter of the arsenopyrite!!! Additionally, one can also see that the arsenopyrite is actually richly included with thin sheets and veins of native gold!!! Upon close inspection one can see that the sheets of native gold are numerous and situated between oriented layers of arsenopyrite!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
