Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, and unique, example of native gold from Australia!!! This specimen consists of an unidentified bluish mineral that hosts a very rich showing of native gold!!! The gold is present as a thick, rich crust on the outside of the bluish matrix as well as numerous veins running through it as well!!! The matrix is a somewhat soft, clay-like mineral that almost has a slight translucence in the deeper hued areas!!! One side of the specimen has been polished to show off the color of the matrix and the veining of the gold within!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this unusual specimen justice!!! The bluish color is more pronounced in person - and the gold is much more showy and bright as well!!! An amazing specimen indeed!!!
