Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of rare goldfieldite and native gold from the type locality in Nevada!!! This specimen hosts
a particularly rich showing of the very rare species goldfieldite in association with a rich showing of native gold!!!
This specimen has been cut and polished on both sides to show off its impressive richness!!! The goldfieldite is present
as silvery metallic masses that are richly distributed throughout a broad band visible on both sides of the specimen!!!
The native gold is present as brilliant golden metallic masses finely disseminated throughout the same broad band and
visible on both sides of the specimen!!! When viewed on edge, one can see significant areas of native gold and
goldfieldite as well!!! This is a fantastic example of this rare species in addition to being a magnificent and rich
example of native gold as well!!! This specimen retains an old label as well!!!
