Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of rare goldfieldite and native gold from the type locality in Nevada!!! This specimen
hosts a significant showing of the very rare species goldfieldite in association with a rich showing of
native gold!!! This specimen has been cut and polished on both sides to show off its impressive richness!!!
The goldfieldite is present as vein of silvery metallic grains and masses!!!
The native gold is present as brilliant golden metallic masses finely
disseminated throughout a vein that runs along side the goldfieldite!!! Both sides of the specimen host a
significant showing of each species!!! When viewed on edge,
one can see significant areas of native gold and goldfieldite as well!!! This is a fantastic example of this
rare species in addition to being a magnificent and rich example of native gold as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
