Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of rare goldfieldite and native gold from the type locality in Nevada!!! This specimen hosts a significant
showing of the very rare species goldfieldite in association with a rich showing of native gold!!! This specimen has been cut and
polished to show off its impressive richness!!! The goldfieldite is present as vein of silvery metallic grains and
masses!!! The native gold is present as brilliant golden metallic masses finely disseminated throughout a vein that runs parallel to and
partially included in the goldfieldite!!! One can see an impressive showing of both species all around the specimen!!!
Even more impressively, one can see massive, botryoidal goldfieldite on top of the specimen!!!
This is a fantastic example of this rare species in addition
to being an impressive and rich example of native gold as well!!!
