Native Gold on Petzite and Hessite Sacarimb (Sacaramb; Szekerembe; Nagyag), Hunedoara Co., Romania 2.1cm x 1.78cm x 1.55cm Ex. Schortmann's

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of native gold with petzite and hessite from this classic locality!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a rich showing of silvery metallic petzite that hosts a bright, golden tangle of native gold wires and a group of tiny quartz crystals that hosts numerous tiny crystals of hessite as well as some unidentified species!!! The petzite is present as a rich, thick band that hosts numerous areas of crystalline petzite!!! The native gold is perched along side the petzite and is present as a thick, stout wire with several tiny wires curled against it!!! Among a face covered with tiny quartz points are numerous characteristically rounded blackish gray crystals of hessite!!! Among the quartz points and hessite crystals are some tiny sprays of an unidentified acicular mineral as well as some other unidentified species as well!!! This specimen retains an old Schortmann's label as well!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
