Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of this rare species from the type locale in Arizona!!! This specimen hosts a striking
showing of colorful copper bearing mineral species richly distributed across its broad face!!! There are numerous
balls of intense, turquoise blue grandviewite scattered about the specimen!!! In person, the intense turquoise color of the
grandviewite crystals is pronounced and they stand out in dramatic contrast to the other species present (the color is
way better than the pics show)!!! The cyanotrichite crystals are present
as intense royal blue sprays of acicular crystals!!! The chalcophyllite is fantastic for the locality - present as a rich
showing of intergrown, bluish green, platy hexagonal crystals!!! The carbonatecyanotrichite crystals are present as pale blue
sprays of acicular crystals somewhat similar in appearance to the cyanotrichite crystals!!! There are scattered
crystals of dark blue azurite present as well!!! This specimen is simply amazing upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!!
This is older material that was collected and labelled when grandviewite was simplky known as "unknown #4"!!! Simply
a fantastic example of this rare species!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 7th!!!
