Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of this rare species from the type locale in Peru!!! This specimen consists of a showy spray of
stout, lustrous crystals of gratonite!!! This is a particularly fine group of gratonite crystals with sharply terminated crystals
that measure up to .85cm!!! The crystals are sharp and lustrous, and jut out in all directions!!! This specimen
is in terrific condition and displays fantastically in person!!! Upon close inspection there is an unidentified black mineral, present as boxwork-like
filagrees of microcrystals, in association tucked in the recesses of the specimen and on the crystals' prism faces!!!
This is OLD material and dates to the late 1930's!!! These old time gratonites are quite scarce and this is a terrific example indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 6th!!!
