Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of greenockite from Bolivia!!! This specimen was collected by Sam Gordon during the famed Vaux expeditions
to Bolivia in 1929 on behalf of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia!!! This specimen hosts a fantastic showing of sharp,
well formed reddish crystals of greenockite on a matrix of darkly colored cassiterite in association with quartz crystals and pale greenish wavellite!!! While the crystals are submillimeter in size,
they are incredible examples of the species!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope, the crystals are simply amazing!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
