Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of grossular garnet from this seldom referenced locality!!! This specimen hosts a complex, yellow-green crystal of grossular garnet prominently perched on matrix!!! There are several other grossular crystals scattered about the matrix as well!!! The crystal has glassy luster and sharp, complex faces!!! The color is rather unique in person!!! This specimen retains a label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains a museum label as well!!! OLD material!!! It is also interesting to note that this is one of the co-type localities for fluorite!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
