Grossular Garnet Hunting Hill quarry, Rockville, Montgomery Co., Maryland 1.63cm x 1.29cm x .88cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of grossular garnet from Maryland!!! This specimen consists of a large, single crystal of grossular garnet!!! The crystal has razor sharp faces, glassy luster, and deep reddish brown color!!! The crystal has marked clarity and flashes of color within!!! The crystal shows a broad contact on the reverse but is in otherwise fantastic condition all around!!! This is a fantastic example of grossular from this seldom referenced locality!!! This specimen was part of large group of specimens from this locality that we acquired from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum (although it does not retain a label, a digital copy can be provided to the winner upon request)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
