Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific, old time example of grossular garnet from Maine!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of large grossular garnet crystals that have glassy luster and attractive orange-amber color!!! The crystals appear to be partially intergrown with some minor diopside as well!!! This specimen came from a group of very old specimens that came out of the University of Delaware and retains an old ink label and affixed catalogue number as well!!!
