Description/Interesting Notes: A rich, old time example of gummite from New Hampshire!!! This specimen consists of a dense, showy mass of colorful gummite with uraninite and cyrtolite zircon!!! Gummite is a combination of several uranium bearing species such as boltwoodite, clarkeite, curite, kasolite, soddyite, uraninite, and uranophane!!! The gummite shows rich, intense hues of bright yellows and vivid oranges in aesthetic combination with jet-black uraninite and dark brown cyrtolite zircon!!! The uraninite is present as numerous black masses and grains scattered throughout the specimen and the cyrtolite zircon is present as scattered dark brown crystals!!! There is also some mica and quartz present as well!!! This specimen is quite showy in person!!! Classic material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
