Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of uraninite and gummite from North Carolina!!! This specimen is comprised primarily of a mass of solid black uraninite with an intensely colorful "rind" of gummite!!! Gummite is the term given for a variable assortment of boltwoodite, clarkeite, curite, kasolite, soddyite, uraninite, and uranophane!!! This specimen is shockingly heavy for its size!!!
