Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of this colorful uranium bearing combination from New Hampshire!!!
Gummite is technically a mixture of minerals consisting of uraninite, along with numerous
other secondary uranium species - boltwoodite, clarkeite, curite, kasolite, soddyite, and
uranophane!!! This specimen exibits the characteristic "gummite" coloration, with black
uraninite surrounded by a dazzling range of bright oranges and yellows, provided by the
various secondary uranium species!!! While the uraninite typically found in these specimens
is present as black veins or spots, this specimen hosts numerous sharp uraninite crystals
up to 5mm!!! An absolutely outstanding specimen indeed!!!
