Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic smoky quartz "gwindel" from Switzerland!!! This specimen consists of a classic, smoky
quartz "gwindel" that shows sharp, glassy faces, gemmy clarity, light smoky color, and characteristic rotation along the
c-axis!!! The specimen is doubly terminated and the bottom edge is complete as well!!! Aside from one small area on the
bottom edge this specimen is complete and undamaged!!! The specimen displays gorgeously in person!!! Upon close study this
specimen shows fascinating morphology and dramatic c-axis rotation Mecke had a significant suite of quartz crystals with unusual morphology and was
particularly interested in the crystallography of the species)!!! Classic material!!!

collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and
there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer
collection this specimen was originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
