Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely magnificent example of this rare species from California!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex single
crystal of hambergite!!! This crystal is a complete and doubly terminated floater with no point of attachment whatsoever!!! This hambergite
exhibits impressive size and quality for the locality!!! The
crystal has sharp, highly complex faces, glassy luster, and areas of marked translucence!!! A very fine hambergite specimen
from the Himalaya mine - or any locality for that
matter!!! This specimen is from the personal collection of Ernie Schlicter and retains its
original label and detailed notecard (with detailed Barlow Collection #2755 info) as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing
this rare gem justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 28th!!!
