Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare gem species from a very rare locality - TAHITI!!! This specimen hosts numerous intense, royal blue crystals of hauyne embedded in matrix!!! The crystals show small areas of marked clarity and glassy cleavage faces!!! The color of the crystals is absolutely incredible - the intense royal blue color is at its pinnacle for the species!!! The crystals are much more pronounced and dynamic in person!!! THe crystals range in size up to nearly 8mm, which is quite significant for the species and locality!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer and retains an original collection label as well!!!
