Description/Interesting Notes:
An incredible example of heliodor from Brazil!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex sceptered crystal of GEM heiliodor!!!
The crystal has bright glassy luster with a light, straw yellow color and gem clarity!!! The crystal exhibits a curious sceptered
habit that is quite unusual - with the termination having a somewhat fluted appearance!!!
The crystal is doubly terminated with a highly complex, somewhat concave termination on the larger end and a flattened termination on the opposite end!!!
This specimen is quite striking in person!!! What's more - is that this specimen came from the US Government's
Strategic Beryllium Reserve!!! This specimen is out of a lot of beryl crystals we just acquired from an old collection that had been
acquired from a special government auction back in the 1970's!!! This material dates to the 1940's!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
