Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of this rare species from the type locale in Norway!!! This specimen hosts a large, 4cm crystal of hellandite prominently perched on matrix!!! The crystal has some very sharply defined, complexly modified faces with marked luster, combined with areas that appear to show significant alteration!!! This locality was abandoned in the 1930's and these original type locale hellandite specimens date to the early 1900's!!! Simply a fantastic example of this species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collections of Gunnar Bjareby(1899-1967) and Tony Nikischer!!!
