This specimen consists of a pristine and complete single crystal of pyrite that has been completely replaced by hematite!!! This specimen is a complete floater with no point of attachment whatsoever!!! The crystal exhibits a fantastic, complexly modifed habit that displays magnificently from every side!!! This specimen retains an unattributed label as well!!! Simply a killer old time pseudomorph indeed - and from a rare Texas locality as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
