Description/Interesting Notes:
A gorgeous, old time example of bright blue hemimorphite with malachite from Mexico!!! This specimen hosts a broad face covered with intense, turquoise blue botryoidal
hemimorphite with the reverse side being coated with rich green malachite (possible rosasite)!!! The hemimorphite has
color that easily rivals the finest Kelly smithsonite and is much better than the pics show!!! The crystals are well formed botryoids with
marked translucence and discernable crystal faces upon close inspection!!! The malachite on the reverse covers another coating of bright blue
hemimorphite as well!!! The malachite has a decidedly rosasite-like hue in person - giving it a more bluish green appearance that is
quite handsome (perhaps there is some Zn content here?)!!! This specimen is simply gorgeous in person!!! This specimen retains old
labels from the Paul Lazar collection and the Thurston's as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be
seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
