Description/Interesting Notes:
An incredible example this rare species from California!!! This specimen hosts an incredibly rich showing of hessite in association with
petzite!!! The hessite is present as numerous highly complex crystalline masses in addition to a rich network of veins distributed throughout the quartz matrix!!! The
hessite has a grayish to silvery-grayish color and metallic to submetallic luster!!! The petzite is present in close association with the
hessite and has a much more brilliant metallic luster and a slightly golden silvery hue!!! The petzite also exhibits marked iridescence as well!!! This specimen retains
an old label from Forrest Cureton that notes that this specimen has been microprobed (the label also mentions electrum, however it is presence is very minor)!!! The
pics hardly do it justice!!! This is an amazing example of the species from California!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 7th!!!
