Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare and highly sought after silver telluride from Romania!!! These historic hessite specimens from Botes represent some of the finest examples of the species known!!! These specimens date back to the early to mid 1800's and are very scarce today!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of very well formed, highly complex crystals!!! The crystals exhibit very dark gray-black color and show areas of marked metallic luster!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see tiny areas of native gold scattered about the specimen as well - a classic characteristic of these rare classics!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show - with complex, well formed crystals all around!!! This specimen is from the personal collection of Sal Avella and retains his label as well!!!
