Description/Interesting Notes: A rare and unique example of heterogenite with smithsonite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen hosts several large, complex crystals of smithsonite that host thick, lustrous coatings of jet-black heterogenite!!! The smithsonite crystals are scattered around the matrix and exhibit highly complex habits with marked translucence and light tan color!!! The smithsonite crystals have unusually rounded features and a slightly velveteen luster!!! The heterogenite is present as a thick, dark black, lustrous coating on these unusual smithsonite crystals!!! The overall look and presentation is quite striking in person!!! This rare and unique specimen is way better than the pics show!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
