Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent, old time example of this rare and colorful tremolite varietal from New York!!! This specimen
consists of a particularly gemmy and intensely colored cluster of intergrown tremolite var. hexagonite crystals!!! This
specimen hosts lustrous, gemmy crystals up to 2cm!!! There is one large, thick, prominent crystal that has
facet-grade gem clarity throughout!!! A very impressive example of hexagonite indeed!!! The specimen
has showy clarity, gorgeous deep magenta pinkish-purple color and is quite dynamic in person!!! Incredible old time
material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection
of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be
some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was
originally from the collection of Florence Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY FEBRUARY 14th!!!
