Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely SUPERB example of this rare tremolite varietal from New York!!! This specimen consists of a GEM QUALITY, reddish purple cluster of hexagonite crystals!!! Rarely does this species obtain such superb quality!!! These specimens came out in the late 1800's and were highly sought after even in their day!!! These old time beauties are seldom available on todays market!!! This is one of the best examples of hexagonite I have seen!!! The color is way better in person, and markedly more on the purple than the pics show!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! A stunning and valuable old time classic!!! This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label!!!
