Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of purple hexagonite from New York!!! This specimen consists of a massive cluster of intergrown hexagonite crystals that has been cut and polished on two sides!!! The polished sections show off the rich color of the crystals in addition to their almost chatoyrant sheen!!! Some of the crystals show an almost fiber-optic transmission of light from the side of the specimen to the cut face!!! The optical properties that come about from cutting this material are quite striking in person!!! The pics hardly capture just how dynamic this old time beauty is!!! Old material!!!
