Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, rare example of crystalline hodgkinsonite from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of crystalline
hodgkinsonite throughout the specimen in association with whitish blades of barite and some unidentified species as well!!! The hodgkinsonite
has rich magenta color with glassy luster and marked translucence!!! There are areas of crystalline hodgkinsonite throughout
the entire specimen with highly complex crystals measuring up to over 9mm!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can
see that there are some unusual unidentified species in association as well - including some platy, brownish colored material as well as
whitish botryoids and minute sprays of colorless crystals!!! Under SW UV there are scattered flecks of yellow-green fluorescence as well!!! This specimen
is from the collection of Gary Grenier!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
