Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of holdenite and rhodochrosite from Sterling Hill!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of light
pink rhombs of rhodochrosite in association with finely crystallized masses of pink holdenite!!! Upon close
inspection with a loupe or scope, one can see sparkly masses of crystalline holdenite on massive pink
holdenite!!! There are also some unidentified species present as well!!! The specimen shows a curious yellow
green fluorescence that, in person, seems to be a thin but permanent "dusting" in some areas!!! There is a lot
going on with this specimen in person!!! This specimen is from the collection of Gary Grenier (No. GG612)!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 24th!!!
