Description/Interesting Notes:
A rich and showy example of this rare and sought after species from Franklin!!! This specimen
hosts a rich showing of bright, intense fluorescent blue (SW UV) margarosanite with hyalophane in association
with platy hendricksite and other related species!!! Although it is difficult to appreciate in the photos - in person the
margarosanite also shows a few areas of pinkish fluorescence in combination with the intense blue fluorescence!!! The
margarosanite is rich, substantial, massive material!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one
can see that there are other unidentified species in association as well!!! In person, one can see that there are
some other areas of more subtle fluorescent features as well (small areas of other colors)!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer and retains its original collection label as well!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer
