Hydroxylherderite with Albite

Auburn, Androscoggin Co., Maine

5.26cm x 4.27cm x 2.87cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A classic example of hydroxylherderite from Maine!!! This specimen consists of an orthoclase matrix that hosts a rich showing of lustrous hydroxylherderite crystals in association with some bladed albite crystals and cookeite!!! The hydryxylherderite crystals are well formed with complex, lustrous faces and marked clarity!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and hosts prominent, significant crystals!!! It was tough to capture in the pictures - this specimen is way better in person!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
