Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of ilmenite from Connecticut!!! This specimen consists of a HUGE single crystal of ilmenite in association with what appears to be a clinochlore matrix!!! Although the ilmenite crystal is not complete, it does have some well defined features and - its huge!!! A significant, old time example of the species!!! This specimen retains an old label from Clifford Joseph as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
