Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of inesite from South Africa!!! This specimen consists of a showy cluster of deep red inesite crystals in association with apophyllite crystals on a layer of rare orlymanite!!! The inesite crystals are present as intergrown sprays of translucent, deep red crystals!!! The apophyllite crystals consist of complex, translucent crystals intergrown with the inesite crystals!!! The orlymanite is present as a tan-brown layer of intergrown balls and botryoidal forms!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see some crystalline features in areas of the orlymanite as well!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
