Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of rare silver halides with cerussite from Broken Hill!!! This specimen hosts a very rich showing of
fine bromian chlorargyrite and iodargyrite crystals in association with complex blades of cerussite and massive gem spessartine!!!
The chlorargyrite and iodargyrite crystals range in color from almost colorless-yellow to yellow green to brown!!! Some of the
crystals have marked clarity!!! The crystals range in size to nearly 7mm and exhibit all kinds of habits ranging from sharp, nearly cubic
crystals to highly complex intergrown crystals!!! The crystals have terrific luster and much sharper crystallization than the pics show!!!
The cerussite crystals are present throughout the specimen and there are fine, lustrous blades scattered amongst the silver halides!!! This
specimen is very rich indeed - essentially it is a cerussite framework that is filled with silver halide crystals!!! There is also a portion of
surprisingly gemmy and intensely colored massive spessartine perched on one side of the specimen!!! There are a few tiny crystal faces on the spessartine here and there, and
there are a few tiny spessartine crystals tucked amongst the other crystals!!! This specimen is
in magnificent conditon and is simply amazing in person!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
