Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of iodargyrite from Broken Hill!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of complexly crystalline iodargyrite on matrix!!! The iodargyrite is present as a thick, complex network intergrown crystals of iodargyrite!!! Upon close inspection one can see crystal complex, defined crystal faces all over the iodargyrite!!! The iodargyrite crystals have a yellowish gray color and a slight translucence!!! Upon close inspection, one can see a few thin, crusts of more grayish tan bromargyrite thinly coating some of the iodargyrite crystals as well!!! On the sides of the specimen one can see thick light yellowish bands of iodargyrite!!! There are also a few tiny spessartine garnet crystals included in the matrix, a characteristic Broken Hill feature, as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
