A rare old time example of iolite and zircon from Connecticut!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of light blue cordierite that hosts two zircon crystals as
well as many submillimeter ones, characterized by the amber-colored polka dots!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label!!! We just recently acquired the lifelong collection
of Albert Peppis, and detailed information about both him and the collection are on our
"About Me" page - so be sure to check it out!!!
