Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of rare jalpaite and native silver from the type locality in Mexico!!! This rare, old time specimen hosts a very rich showing of dark gray jalpaite in association with bright tin white native silver and turquoise-blue chrysocholla!!! This specimen actually hosts numerous CRYSTALS of jalpaite to several millimeters!!! Upon close examination, one can see that the jalpaite crystals still embedded in the chrysocholla actually have a paper-thin layer of native silver that encapsulates them around the perimeter!!! The broad area of native silver also hosts a complex imprint of crystalline jalpaite as well!!! This is a fantastic, old time rarity indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
