A rare matrix example of jeremejevite on foitite tourmaline from Namibia!!! Examples of jeremejevite on matrix are
quite scarce indeed!!! This specimen hosts a significant crystal of gemmy, cornflower blue jeremejevite prominently perched
on a matrix of compact, fibrous foitite tourmaline (although it is currently labelled as foitite tourmaline, I am
told that it is actually under investigation as a possible new tourmaline species)!!! The jeremejevite crystal has
glassy luster and exhibits a highly complex, etched habit!!! The crystal has gem clarity
and handsome cornflower blue color!!! The crystal's complex habit, glassy luster, and gemmy clarity gives it a
particularly lively appearance!!! Simply a fantastic example of the species indeed!!! This
specimen is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously in person!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
