Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of jeremejevite from Namibia!!! This specimen
consists of a complexly etched, doubly terminated crystal of jeremejevite in association
with several balls of foitite tourmaline (although it is currently labelled as
foitite tourmaline, I am told that it is actually under investigation as a possible new tourmaline species)!!!
The jeremejevite crystal has glassy luster and exhibits a highly complex, etched habit!!! The crystal is complete
and undamaged with gem clarity and handsome cornflower blue color!!! The crystal's complex habit, glassy luster,
and gem clarity come together to created a specimen with a lively internal "glow" and play of light within!!! Upon
close examination, one can see that the foitite tourmaline is present as a densely intergrown group of radiating
crystals!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
