Karpatite (Carpathite) with Druzy Quartz Los Picachos #1, New Idria District, San Benito Co., California 2.64cm x .72cm x .65cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of this rare organic species!!! This specimen consists of a long single crystal of karpatite that has been coated by microcrystalline quartz!!! Free-standing karpatite crystals of such size and quality are almost unheard of - and likely almost impossible with out the quartz association!!! This specimen fluoresces a bright yellowish green (for some reason, the pictures did not capture this but it is a classic "glow in the dark" green in person), with the exposed karpatite fluorescing a bright blue!!!
