Kermesite Kermesite occurrence, Dafeng, Shanglin Co., Nanning Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China 4cm x .77cm x .38cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of this rare species from China!!! This specimen consists of a slightly divergent spray of dramatically elongated kermesite crystals!!! The kermesite crystals are lustrous and somewhat dark in color with accents of deep red throughout!!! There are also some tiny crystals of valentinite in association as well!!! This material came from a small find made in 2002 that briefly came to market and has all but vanished since then!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
