Kinoite in Quartz with Epidote La Salle Mine, Osceola, Houghton Co., Michigan 6.6cm x 5.1cm x 3.75cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An amazing example of kinoite included quartz from Michigan!!! This specimen hosts a cluster of sharp, gemmy quartz crystals to 4mm that host numerous, sharply defined, intense royal blue crystals of kinoite crystals included within!!! Paired with these kinoite-included quartz crystals are numerous brilliant crystals of green epidote!!! These kinoite included quartz specimens from Michigan are quite rare indeed, and this is a magnificent example!!! The individual crystals of kinoite within the quartz are incredible upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!! Usually these specimens are limited to micros, however this is a significantly sized specimen with prominent crystals and rich, eye-visible inclustions!!! Upon close inspection, in addition to the dense area of kinoite-included quartz crystals there are numerous other quartz crystals scattered throughout the specimen that host kinoite inclusions as well!!! This specimen came out of an old Michigan collection and its handwritten label notes its rarity!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!!
