Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of this rare and unusual species from Nevada!!! Kleinite has a rather peculiar chemistry
among minerals, as it is a mercury nitrogen chlorosulfate!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of bright yellow
crystals of kleinite on matrix!!! The kleinite is much more crystallized than it appears in the pics!!! The crystals
consist of highly complex forms and groupings with lustrous faces and intense color!! The crystals are very well
formed with both sharp single crystals and groupings of crystals that show numerous tiny lustrous faces
throughout!!! In addition to the kleinite, there are orange somewhat crust-like crystals of orange kenhsuite
present as well!!! This is a magnificent example of this rare and peculiar mercury-bearing species!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
